Read the full story »You’ve probably noticed that I’m more than a little behind in my posts. My hope has been to post 2-3 articles a week, but lately it’s been hard to write even one every two weeks.
We have been quite busy as a family, and since November my mother has been dealing with many health issues. Most recently she came down with bronchitus which triggered a bout with kidney failure. We/she did not know that her kidneys had been giving her trouble for quite awhile now. In hindsight it explains many things. She ended up in the hospital with stage 3 renal failure. She is better now and on the road to recovery.
Like my post about our harrowing ride on New Year’s Eve, this experience again rings the bell for living for the moment, living for today. Ten days ago I was fairly certain that we would be attending a funeral this week if things didn’t turn around quickly. We are very thankful to God for His and all the caregiver’s healing presence.
Life can change fast. Hug your friends and family, love them. The next time you get angry – take a deep breath or two and work through it instead of having to work through regrets later. Love, love, love and live for today – for tomorrow may never come.
